12,000 Homes Proposed on Northeast SF Bay Military Base
A committee appointed by the Concord City Council has recommended that 2 alternatives to reuse of the naval base be studied in the upcoming EIR. They have also voted to recommend approval of the 12,000 home "Clustered Villages" alternative instead of the 10,000 home "Concentration and Conservation" alternative. Under the two proposals, between 3300 and 3700 acres of open space will be preserved out of the 5100 acre base property.

URGENT: Concord Naval Weapons Station
City Council Meetings - Let your voice be heard!

The city of Concord is planning the reuse of the 5,100-acre Concord Naval Weapons Station--the largest development project in the East Bay. The project could create a traffic nightmare from East County to the Bay Bridge, with development wall to wall, or it could protect thousands of acres of open space.
