San Franciscans to Vote on Parks Funding Plan February 5th
The San Francisco Board of Supervisors voted unanimously to place the $185 million Clean and Safe Neighborhood Parks Bond on the February 5, 2008 ballot. This summary reflects the content of the Clean and Safe Neighborhood Parks Bond. See the map for some of the project locations included in the bond.Bond proceeds will go to:
Neighborhood Parks, $117.4 million, for Playground safety, repair and replacement,
seismic work to prepare our recreation centers for a major earthquake, landscaping, better
disability access, and modernize and improve aging parks.
and for Waterfront Parks & Bay Access $33.5 million, to Improve bay access, create a blue-greenway of parks along the waterfront and repair the crumbling seawalls.
