Greetings from the Tahoe Rim Trail!
The trail is no longer under snow...

and the Tahoe Rim Trail Association's programs have begun. If you are looking for volunteer opportunities, guided hikes, events, and trail information, check out our website (http://www.tahoerimtrail.org). We hope to see you out on the trail this summer!

Happy Trails!

Join us for a Work Party!
We are currently working on a trail building project out of Tahoe City. The project involves building NEW trail, as we are rerouting a 3 mile section of the TRT that will improve the trail by decreasing the steepness and avoiding a major rocky area while adding more vista points. We have three remaining work days in which we expect to finish this project! If you would like to be a part of this exciting trail building project, use our online registration to sign-up!

Dates and details below:

Dates: Tuesday, July 8; Saturday, July 12; Tuesday, July 15

Time: 9am-3pm Location: Tahoe City North trailhead of the TRT

Directions: Turn on Fairway Drive off Highway 89 on the west end of Tahoe City. The trail is across from the Fairway Community Center on the right. If this parking lot is full, park at the Tahoe City Public Utility District offices about 0.1 mile back toward highway 89.
Trail work volunteers need to bring water, lunch, snacks, long sleeved shirt, long pants, closed-toed footwear (work or hiking boots), work gloves, sunscreen, bug spray, and a day pack to carry it all. The TRTA provides hard hats, tools, and crew leaders.

To sign up for these work days and to learn about our many other trail work opportunities throughout the summer, visit our website.
